Simulations 38-49

This section gets even deeper with more jargon surrounding the topic of strategies of the real.
As expected he reminds us once again that it is impossible for us to achieve the state of the real and throws another curveball which is that we can’t even create an illusion of the real because the real no longer exists. This brings us into the concept of hypersimulation which he describes as a simulation of a simulation. Yup through the rabbit hole we go... He relates this to the concept of jurisdiction, pointing out that action to crimes are a simulation and an action to a fake crime is a simulation of a hyper simulation which must make it a hyper simulation^2. In this sense i feel like one can boil down the use of simulation to decision. A jury decides punishment based upon past cases and standards held within the court. When they come across a case that has no real purpose but to simulate a crime their decision has no particular standard or context to make a ruling so could this decision be an example of the real for the fact that it is one thats generated without previous knowledge. I don’t know, I’m just spitballing here, let me know your thoughts.

As far as my project goes I’m studying more into what top athletes like M J and Lebron James think about their endorsements and add campaigns with big brands. I want to find out how much decision they have in the ways their presented through media outlets like these.
